A promenade Interactive production, taking place within numerous rooms adjoined to Ascot Race Course. This community show draws together all ages of the local community to perform a show for the community to commemorate the Centenary of the First World War.

Built upon the songs that British soldiers sang during the war and real letters collected from around the local area, this immersive production takes the audience on a satirical and deeply moving journey through an exciting variety of spaces. From a typical fete to the giddy revelry of the recruitment tent and the families back home receiving letters from the front down to the harrowing sights and smells of the trenches.

‘Absolutely outstanding! I felt I was there during WW1. The setting really made it for me. I loved the audience involvement such as the fairground scene. I also felt I got to know each character on a different level, noticing their clear characteristics and differences. It was both funny and inspiring’ - Billy Adams

‘A truly immersive, carefully thought out, moving, frightening and also humorous production’ – Journalist Phillippa Barr

‘A Truly amazing production! Creative, Moving, Fun and educational! I loved the way you took us on a journey and interacted with us, drawing us into the happy fete atmosphere and wonderful WW1 songs with the dancing girls. The recruiting scene was very clever as it portrayed how young the men were and how it was seen as exciting and fun to join up, until the hard hitting drill sergeant took over. The way you transformed the rooms was outstanding! The letter room was truly moving with the ladies reading the local letters, this really made it hit home. Going into the dark trench with the sound of bombardment and the actors dressed in the WW1 uniforms was like been transported back in time. The scene with the officer talking to Haig showed the utter brutality and disregard for the soldiers. The final scene really hit me with the last post, reading of the letters and the cast belting the WW1 songs. A truly inspirational and imaginative piece of theatre!!! I will look out for anything you do in the future. Thanks to all the cast and team involved for an amazing evening.’

‘A long overdue thank you. Thank you both for giving Lucy the opportunity to work with such a great cast. She loved every minute of the rehearsals and the productions. It was a fantastic production which was very well put together. Lucy is away for part of the summer so is very disappointed  that she can’t be part of Alice in wonderland. We are sure it is going to be amazing. Hopefully she can join you again in the future.
Thank you again!!’

‘For King and Country was AMAZING!!. Thank you!!’
Thank you for King & Country tonight. The beginning took me by surprise and I was a bit ‘uncertain’ as I was attending on my own. But I thought it was very well done/excellent. I thought having the cast lined up as the attendees exited was also a very nice/novel touch.

‘I have just returned from watching your production this evening in Ascot. I was totally blown away by the show – Congratulations!
